Women of Substance

The name 'Lotte' is derived from ‘Charlotte’, a heroine in ‘The Sorrows of Young Werther’ by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, a literary giant from Germany. 'Your palate's sweetheart' is a slogan created by the company, envisioning Charlotte.

Lotte Chemical Pakistan celebrates Pakistani 'women of substance' who, like charlotte, are responsible, active, bright and open-minded. They love their families and the world. They care for the poor and the powerless. They are ahead of their times. These women have pushed their limits to unleash their true potential. They have made a difference in their respective fields. Be it art, literature, science or politics, these women have proved their mettle in terms of talents, intelligence and knowledge.

Whether it is Bilquis Edhi's undying love for humanity or Benazir Bhutto's struggle for democracy, Abida Parveen's soulful musical rendition of the mystics or Nazia Hassan's redefinition of pop; these women of substance, like Charlotte, live deep in the hearts of people for their invaluable contribution to society. The women chosen represent a diverse cross section and further underline the role of all women of Pakistan, who are living lives of substance and have been playing a vital role in building a progressive Pakistan.
